Ringing bells in Hindu temples. The first is Gangotri. The second is Trayambakeshwar (the 13-story temple) in Rishikesh. There’s no picture, just sound, for the second part of the clip. We were walking across the Ram Jhula pedestrian bridge in the dark when I turned on the video to record the sound.

The Amazing road on the way to Munsiari, Uttaranchal, in India is a rider’s dream. Well-paved roads are only a conduit to the natural beauty surrounding the area. See how the topography shifts with every turn of the odometer. Note the sound of the engine as I throw it into 2nd Gear as I accelerate out of every turn, and twist the throttle open on every straight. The video was made using a Canon S3IS which was left hanging on my neck, in June 2008, when I went on a Solo Biking Trip. The ride was my Royal Enfield Bullet 500, a classic British motorcycle of the 1950′s that sang all the way in this 1300 km trip.
